The Building Board of Appeals derives its authority from Chapter 1, Section 124 of the BOCA National Building Code. The Board acts on appeals brought forth by person(s) aggrieved or head of any agency of the municipality from any decision of the building official. Members are individuals either familiar with building construction, or licensed professional engineers, architects. etc. The Board consists of 5 members appointed for 3-year terms and meets on an as-need basis.
